I've pierced the silver and used a jeweler's saw to cut a freeform flower. The cut and pierced piece is layered on a sheet of patinated copper and cold connected with handmade rivets. I've inlaid a copper dot for the flower's center. This pendant measures just over 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide, (26mm x 13mm.) It hangs from a 16 inch dark brown/black leather cord, with handmade sterling end caps and a handmade hook and eye clasp. The front of the piece has a matte finish, and the rear copper plate has been sealed with wax.
